Update on Amy's Dad Paul 7/9/18

This posting is a little late but Amy's mom shared more news about Paul's progress in mid-June:

Update on Paul: Paul is doing so well that he would like to think that he doesn't have cancer anymore. Unfortunately, the pain tells him that he still does. He continues to gain strength and has not been as tired as he was at the beginning. On a good note, he was able to go a good 3-4 weeks without seeing a doctor. Two months ago, he was seeing a doctor at least 3-4 times a week. In the next few weeks, he will have one appointment a week with various doctors. We are looking for good results. This month, Paul was able to attend 2 graduation parties and was able to stay for a few hours to enjoy the visits. Just as a precaution, he did take extra pain meds. to compensate for any unwanted pain that might have occurred. He was fine after each party. There are three prayers that Paul would ask for:
#1 His main goal right now is to be able to walk his youngest daughter, Hannah, down the aisle on her wedding day later this year
#2 along with that he would like to walk her down the aisle without any apparatuses needed: a walker, a wheel chair, a cane, etc.
#3 And most of all, he does not want Hannah to be holding him up while they walk down the aisle together, he wants to be holding her as they walk down together.
Thank you for your prayers/ good thoughts. We so appreciate them.

3 Years Too Long

So, 3 years ago today is one of the crappiest days of all of the crappy days...

A day we had to learn how to say goodbye to our sunshine on a cloudy day, Amy.

She is missed at every moment.  Our hearts still haven’t healed completely.  I’m at work right now because I have to be but as soon as I get home, all bets are off.  I’ll be jumping into pajamas and curling up in bed to binge watch some of Amy and I’s  favorite movies.

That’s my plan and I’m sticking to it.

We love and miss you Amy!  But I’m sure you already know that.  You’re a part of our lives every day, not just today.

Update on Amy's Dad, Paul

An update on Paul (Amy's Dad) as told by Lauren (Amy's Mom): He was admitted to a rehab facility March 27th. He resides in a beautiful place. It is bright and cheery. By God's goodness, the place is just minutes from the hospital where he will continue to receive radiation treatments on his spine and the insurance will cover transporting him to the hospital.  Hopefully, he will only need to be there for a short time. He has improved over the last few days, especially with his walking. Thank you for your prayers/good thoughts!

Great News about Larette Island

Alouette is NOT closing!!  I repeat... Alouette is NOT closing!!

A current tenant and friend of mine LRRiven Resident (Riven for short) and I just submitted support tickets a few moments ago to transfer Larette Island to her!  She is going to keep Alouette and everything else on the sim as-is.

With that being said, I haven't been accepting donations towards Alouette since March 1st and I had also removed the donation R2D2 from Amy's store at that time.  There will no longer be any updates to the Donation Trail on this blog and the sole purpose for this blog will continue to be in regards to Amy's legacy.

Thank you for everyone's support on this journey.  Giving up Larette Island was one of the most difficult choices I've ever had to make.  I've had it for about 10 years and I have a lot of memories tied to it, especially with Amy.  My heart is comforted and I am so overjoyed to know that the sim is going to a well known friend!!!
