Update on Amy's Dad, Paul

An update on Paul (Amy's Dad) as told by Lauren (Amy's Mom): He was admitted to a rehab facility March 27th. He resides in a beautiful place. It is bright and cheery. By God's goodness, the place is just minutes from the hospital where he will continue to receive radiation treatments on his spine and the insurance will cover transporting him to the hospital.  Hopefully, he will only need to be there for a short time. He has improved over the last few days, especially with his walking. Thank you for your prayers/good thoughts!

Great News about Larette Island

Alouette is NOT closing!!  I repeat... Alouette is NOT closing!!

A current tenant and friend of mine LRRiven Resident (Riven for short) and I just submitted support tickets a few moments ago to transfer Larette Island to her!  She is going to keep Alouette and everything else on the sim as-is.

With that being said, I haven't been accepting donations towards Alouette since March 1st and I had also removed the donation R2D2 from Amy's store at that time.  There will no longer be any updates to the Donation Trail on this blog and the sole purpose for this blog will continue to be in regards to Amy's legacy.

Thank you for everyone's support on this journey.  Giving up Larette Island was one of the most difficult choices I've ever had to make.  I've had it for about 10 years and I have a lot of memories tied to it, especially with Amy.  My heart is comforted and I am so overjoyed to know that the sim is going to a well known friend!!!

More Bad News...

There's more bad news for Amy's family.  With Amy's mom's permission I'm sharing her recent post about their situation:

"The storm outside may be ending but the storm inside the Nauman household is just beginning. Paul had a recent MRI due to continued pain. The results have shown a 7 cm mass on his pelvis and, due to potential cancer in his blood, it has destroyed the bone marrow and thus he has a fractured vertebrae. He has a CT scan on Monday and a biopsy on Tuesday. He has been on OTC pain meds. which has helped minimally but enough to get him through the day, As a result of the pain, he has been in bed most of the time. The doctor has told him that due to the biopsy on Tuesday he must stop the medication. Please pray for him to endure the pain. Please pray for healing. Our second storm is that due to both us being out of work (Paul since Nov. 9th) our house is heading into foreclosure. Please pray for wisdom. One good thing in all this is that our faith in God is strong. We wouldn't want to go through this without Him. Even Jesus, Himself, has been known to calm the storm. We thank you for your prayers/good thoughts."

Paul is Amy's dad, Lauren is Amy's mom.  Amy's sister, Hannah, has started a gofundme page to help them during this difficult time.  Please help if you can by donating, by simply sharing the page to spread the word or just say some extra prayers for them.  They are the kindest people I've ever met (I know where Amy gets it from) and they've already been through so much... Thank you for your time!

From Hannah:

Hi everyone,
I've set up this Go Fund Me to help my parents through this awful time. Any donation is more than appreciated and prayers to reach this goal to keep the house. Thank you for everyone's support and prayers. This is what keeps us going and strong through this time.
Please share
Thank you so much
Hannah"

Larette Island Future

Hi Guys,

It's with a very heavy heart that I make this announcement but due to several factors, I have to sell Larette Island.  If I'm unable to find someone to take the sim over, I'll have to turn it back in to Linden Lab.  Amy's family has also been notified.

*** Please don't panic, this is a ~1 month notice.  We have the sim (at most) through 4/10/18. ***

As you may be aware, I'm not active in SL anymore.  Because of that, my income in SL is next to nothing.  We have lost several tenants and I've had a very difficult time finding new ones to take their place.  And, my RL income can't continue to support the cost of the sim on a monthly basis.  I know Amy would not want me to stress myself out which is why I've decided to finally let it go.  I'm still very proud that I was able to keep the sim and Alouette open the past 3 years, I never could have done it without your help and the support of the SL community!

Right now, the details are fuzzy and I have to call LL tomorrow during normal business hours to find out how all this works.  I'd like to see the sim go to someone interested in keeping Alouette open, but I have to find out if that's even possible.  There are fees involved with transferring a sim to another person, but I'm not entirely sure what they are.  Also, I know the process takes 5-10 business days so I would have to have a buyer and care tickets submitted no later than 3/27/18 to avoid having to pay tier for another month (which I know I cant afford).

With all that being said, please let me know if you're interested in taking the sim over.  My current 3 tenants have first dibs.

My asking price is $500 USD (contingent upon the answers I get from LL tomorrow.  I believe the transfer fees are $100 USD which I will pay)
Tier is paid the 11th of every month and it's $295 USD

Thank you for your support, understanding, friendship and kindness.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards,
