The Gacha Garden Dedication

Today I was contacted in Second Life by the lovely Meeka Sihtu.  Meeka wanted to let me know that the animated video they created for The Gacha Garden has been dedicated to our Amy.
Screenshot from the animated video created for the Gacha Garden - Dedication to Amy (Scarlet Chandrayaan in Second Life)  "For Scarlet and all of the other dreamers out there..."
For more information on the Gacha Garden event (opening August 1, 2015) and to see the full length video, please feel free to visit their website.

When I watched the video, I got goosebumps.  I hope you take the time to watch it!  It's a refreshing and imaginative perspective in regards to the appreciation of SL content creators... written by Meeka herself!  The entire theme of it is something I know Amy would love!

The other wonderful news Meeka shared with me is Amy's spot on the Bella Gacha sim will remain there as long as the sim exists!  Meeka, like many others, was touched by Amy's positive attitude despite all that she was facing herself.  It's so very kind for Meeka to keep another little part of Amy within SL to share with everyone!

Picture of Amy's spot on the Bella Gacha sim.  To visit the location directly please follow this SLURL.
Without realizing it, Amy has given so much hope to anyone that she met. Amy never thought she was doing anything special other than being herself.  From what I've witnessed first hand, she's impacted so many lives and will always live on, at the very least, within our hearts.

I love when people share things like this with me.  When I do log into SL and wander about, I often find myself looking for things created by Amy and always feel a burst of happiness when I see that someone else appreciates Amy and the things she created for us.

Last, I would like to share that Meeka generously donated a full month's worth of tier for Amy's parcel on Larette Island to help keep her store open even longer!  As promised, I'm sharing the screenshot where the $14,820L was paid directly to me, and I transferred it to our rental avi, Adela Millar for safe keeping until it's time to cash out for tier.  I always post updates at least once a month so please feel free to check out the links in the side bar.

Thank you so much again Meeka.  I can't adequately express how grateful I am for your generosity, not only from the donation but for helping share Amy's legacy!

Amy's Marker

In honor of Amy's birthday today, her family spent the day together.

One of their excursions together was to go view her finished marker for the first time.  I figured I'd share the picture her father took for those that wish to see it.

It's so very AMY!  As much as I dislike the need for it, I at least like the fact that it encompasses a large part of who Amy is.

A quote from Star Wars "I love you, I know." and of course, MOOSES!

I have come to find out that Amy's is the very first Moose etched into a marker according to the creator of the memorial.

It is uniquely Amy's and I'm sure her sassy self wouldn't have it any other way.

Happy 27th Birthday Amy!

I remember  in 2009 when we threw you a surprise birthday party in Second Life for your 21st!  We equipped you with pixelated alcohol because you were now allowed to have it and decorated the sim with balloons, bunnehs and other various fluffys and just had a fun time hanging out!

July 28, 2009.  Celebrating Amy's 21st birthday!
Happy 27th Birthday to my wonderful friend Amy!

Today is a day to celebrate for without today myself and my family would have never been able to meet the amazing, sassy, silly, sweet you! Not a day goes by we don't think of you. Thanks to your nerdy influence the kids LOVE star wars (especially our oldest) and everywhere we look there's a reminder of you. I suppose it's safe to say you're always around us. I love and miss you sooooo much! I hope you're in heaven having a ball and petting a moose!

Relay For Life 2015

Relay for Life Walk 2015 started in SL on 7/18/2015 (I know this post is several days late) but I wanted to share that the Purple Tears Team had a few dedications to Amy within their RFL display.

They hid a moose in the garden.  The lovely Memorial Garden by Dust Bunny is placed next to a bench and Amy's picture is up in the Memorial Hallway.  When you click the picture it gives out a note card written by Brennie Slade with a lovely dedication.  There are also several luminaries lit in Memory of Amy.

If you would like to visit to see it for yourself, you have until 7/23/2015.

The one thought I had running through my head was, as difficult as it has been to get through the sadness from losing my loved ones to that terrible "C" word, on the RFL sims, you can't help but look around and know that we are never alone.

*hugs to everyone*

I love and miss you Amy and Grandpa <3

A Special Memorial for Amy - by Shiloh

Shiloh, owner and Creator of Magnolia Home & D├ęcor has released a very special Memorial edition of her Japanese Lanterns for Amy.  You can get yours at the Origami summer event located at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Heiankyo/64/35/24 .  Shiloh has been so kind to donate 100% of the sales to help keep Amy's store, Alouette, open in world.

The lantern features lovely Japanese writing that translates to "Amy, our friend for Eternity".

Thank you so much Shiloh, for your kindness and sharing your beautiful creation with us. <3
